Get an Eee PC 1000, Acer Aspire One, Msi windbook, Dell Inspirion mini or HP netbook rather then this garbage. The laptop feels like a childs laptop from the toy store and doesen't perform much better. Very cheep looking, klunky compared so other models at similar price with faster specs. All others listed have faster spec, more ram, bigger hard drive, better display, better keyboards, better wireless, more slots better trackpads. This laptop is junk, all the others listed above will serve you better, leave this one for the kids.that's what it is designed for.
Update: 6/2/09 I swapped out the 512 so-dimm for a 1 gb module, and after a panic-y moment when the thing would not boot, it now does seem to be running faster. And yes, the keys are very small.
It actually has a larger hard drive than I expected, a small bonus. Now on to my complaints.
I bought the 2goPC that runs XP. Probably in part because of the increased screen resolution, the thing takes forever to boot, to be able to surf the web (I haven't, but should, time it sometime).
It is a little heavier than I would expect (no real biggie). I adjusted the screen resolution up to 1024 x 768 (and it is compacted so you see the whole screen in the 10.5 screen) and now I have to wear my reading glasses to read the screen (normally I don't need reading glasses except for really small print in low light).
But it was very inexpensive, is very portable and the wireless seems perfectly fine.
I bought this for my son and he loves it. I do too. Great little laptop. I would recommend it to anyone.
It connected effortlessly to the wireless in my house, and was up and running in minutes. The price for this product could not be beat. The keyboard is small - but perfect for little fingers. I bought this computer for my four year old twins so I could reclaim my own laptop for actual work. It is durable, fast, and easy to use. The screen is small and sometimes cuts off important parts of the image, but for the most part that has not been too much of a problem. Great computer for kids.
Great bargain, esp. You have that small screen and that's that-- can't hook it up to a larger monitor. now that the unit is out of production and they can be had for under $250. My only gripe given the price is the lack of video output on the unit. Other than that, not much else to complain about. :)
